BBQ Team

Butler Center BBQ Team is BJ Hoffman, Adam Hoffman, and Trever Sittig. Sometimes Carson Hoffman, BJ’s 8 year old son, travels with them and competes in the Kids Q’ Contests! They have been BBQ’ing for over 13 years competitively and do a great deal of BBQ catering. In 2010, they won the Iowa State Fair BBQ Championship and here are their 2011 results so far:

• TNT Landscaping Steak Cook-Off, 3^rd Place
• Iowa Sheep and Wool Industry Cook-Off, 2^nd Place
• Lakefest BBQ Contest, Reserve Grand Champion, Chicken 3^rd Place, Ribs 6^th Place, Pork 7^th Place and Brisket 2^nd Place and People’s Choice 2^nd Place
• Iowa State BBQ Championship, overall 19^th out of 45 teams, Chicken 14^th Place, Ribs 31^st Place, Pork 16^th Place, Brisket 13^th Place, Kids Q’ Contest Grand Champion, Big Green Egg Scramble 3^rd Place.
• Throwdown on the River, in Dubuque, Iowa, Brisket 3rd Place, 5th Place Overall
• Felix Grundy Competition, Grand Champion
• Charles City Rib Cook Off, Grand Champion
