Pellet Grills vs Gas Grills

Why choose pellet grills vs gas or propane grills? There are many economical and just plain better reasons to cook with a pellet grill vs a gas grill. One of the first reasons is that pellet grills use wood pellets for fuel to cook the food. Pellets are made of compressed sawdust which comes form recycled wood. This is without a doubt the greenest and most flavorful way to grill or cook outside. Gas grills can tend to overheat during cooking and burn the food with a hot flame. Pellet grills do not have flames and cook with pure temperature controlled heat. So the typical high flame that can come from a bit of grease dropping on the gas flame and burning the food does not happen when cooking with a pellet grill.  Food cooked on a gas grill does not provide any additional flavoring no matter what you do.
